  • Is there a place to store my items?
    Yes! Both sides have lockers available to ensure your items are safe.
  • Where are you located?
    We are located at 915 Wall st in Redding CA. There are two sides of the building, one is 925 Wall street and we are on the other side. We have two separate units. Unit #1 is where our rage rooms are located and unit #2 is where the Paint Shop is located.
  • Is there an age limit?
    We do require participants to be at least 13 years or older for the rage room and there is no age limit to participate in the paint activities. However anyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian present at all times who will watch (or join!) The parent or guardian MUST sign a waiver for the minor.
  • What should I do if I have a large amount of items to donate?
    If you have a large volume of items, please contact us in advance. We can arrange special pickups or provide assistance with transporting the items to our location.
  • Can my friends, co-workers or family watch?
    There are no viewing windows into the rage or paint rooms. Due to multiple groups coming and going, seating may be limited and primarily reserved for participants. We will do our best to accommodate.
  • Can I film my session?
    All mobile/filming devices are welcome at Break Out but at your own risk. Feel free to record your visit, use our space for cool photography shots or whatever and we'd love it if you'd share to our Facebook or Instagram.
  • Do you allow walk-ins?
    We are not taking walk-ins at this point. We Highly encourage everyone to book online to secure your time slot and have the best experience.
  • Do you offer any discounts?
    A: Yes, we provide a 10% discount for first responders and military personnel, as well as a $10 discount for adults with disabilities. In order to benefit from these discounts, customers need to inform us either at the time of their session or indicate their eligibility in the notes section when booking. We will then apply the discount accordingly.
  • Is your location ADA compliant?
    Yes! Both our locations are wheelchair accessible and are ADA compliant. If you have any questions or require special assistance please feel free to contact us and we will attempt to accommodate as much as possible.
  • Can I listen to my own music?
    Yes! Each room is equipped with their own Bluetooth speakers where guests can listen to their own music from their phones.
  • How do I book for a group?
    We have 2 rage rooms that can accommodate 2 people at a time. For larger groups make sure you select the correct number of people when asked during booking. For 3 or more people you will be divided into 2 rooms. Our paint rooms can be booked for 4 people however we can combine 2 of our rooms for 8 people. For help with group bookings call or email us and we will gladly help schedule your sessions.
  • Can I pay with cash when I get there?
    Yes! To pay with cash please call, text or email and we will gladly help schedule your session.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    To cancel or reschedule your session and receive a full refund, you must cancel no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment. You may call, text or email us to cancel or reschedule during business hours. If you call us the day of your session and need to rebook we will be glad to help reschedule. Missed reservations where no notice is given or less than 24 hrs prior notice is given, will be charged full price and not offered the opportunity to reschedule.
  • Can I donate broken items?
    We welcome items that are already damaged, chipped or not working as long as they are safe to handle and suitable for a rage room.
  • Should I arrive early?
    Please arrive at scheduled booking time. We have included 10 minutes into each rage room package and 15 minutes to each paint session to give you time to say hi, pick out you items and get suited up in protective gear. Arriving late will cut into your session time. It is important for us to stay on schedule to be able to create the best experiences we can.
  • Can I bring in my own weapons?
    Unfortunately, for safety and liability reasons we can not allow any outside weapons or equipment to be used during your rage session. We are always open to ideas and donations though.
  • Are rage rooms safe?
    Safety is our first priority. All Rage Room participants are provided required safety gear such as a face shield/hard helmet and gloves. Participants are required to wear closed toed shoes as well as sign a waiver accepting possible risks inherent to the activity before entering rage rooms. We have optional ear protection and coveralls However if you are not wearing long pants and long sleeve shirt you will need to wear coveralls for your protection. You will be given a safety tutorial before the session starts and we will be monitoring things via security cameras in all rooms. We try to minimize risk as much as possible without sacrificing any fun. Our goal is that each participant has an exciting and safe experience at our facility.
  • What is a rage room?
    A rage room is what it sounds like, a room to rage out in! We provide a safe environment (gear included) to let loose and break items to relieve stress, or just have fun! Our rooms are designed to take hits so you can make as much of a mess as you want. The best part? We take care of the clean-up so you don't have to! We DO NOT encourage or support responding physically to things in your day to day life but we DO support you coming in to release emotions in our safe, non judgmental space.
  • What should I wear?
    Close-toed shoes are required. (No Crocs, heels, slippers etc.)— the rest is up to you! We do recommend wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt and/or comfortable clothing so you can move freely and get the best out of your experience. If you choose to not wear pants and long sleeves you are required to wear our provided coveralls (xsmall-xxl) free of charge.
  • What do I get to break?
    Each package (besides BYOB) will reserve a private room with some furniture and/or larger items waiting to get smashed as well as at least 10 small breakables. We also allow you to bring 10 small items from home for free. All outside items are subject to staff review. You will be able to pick out additional items, depending on what package you purchase, after you arrive. Different packages have different sized breakables, examples listed below: Small items: assorted glasses/cups, small plates, CD, VHS tapes and so on. Medium items: bigger plates, vases, wine/liquor bottles, alarm clocks, DVD Players and so on. Large items: computers, printers, wooden chairs, laptops, mirrors, end tables, TV's 42" and smaller and so on. Specialty items: TV's larger than 42", windshields, etc..
  • Can I bring my own breakables from home?
    Absolutely! Do you have an old computer, ugly dish set or are cleaning out your garage? We have a BYOB (Bring Your Own Breakables) package where you can bring in your own things to smash as long as they meet our guidelines (list can be found under our donations section) and fit in one of our BYOB boxes, those black and yellow tucs (27gallon tub, 30.5"L x 20.13"W x 14.25"H) but remember, you only have 20 mins to break as much as you can. But hey, we’ll clean-up your mess and make sure everything is disposed of properly. Remember, we also allow you to bring 10 small items from home for free! All outside items are subject to staff review.
  • How many people can “Rage” at a time?
    Our facility has 2 rage rooms which can each accommodate 2 participants at a time. Groups larger than 2 will be divided into 2 rooms. More than 4 people, you will need to book 2 time slots.
  • Can I bring my own stuff to paint?
    Absolutely! Feel free to bring in your own canvases and favorite paint brushes! Bring in that dress, t-shirt, or pants and give them a one-of-a-kind splatter makeover. Please contact us if you want to bring in home decor/furniture for approval. We do not allow you to bring oil paints but acrylics are fine.
  • What should I wear into the room?
    Remember, paint happens, and we’re not responsible for any fashion casualties. Some people will come out clean or extra MESSY. Please be mindful to not wear clothes you don't want damaged. We do have plastic trash bags for your car seats if you happen to get crazy as well as sinks to wash off.
  • How many people can paint at a time?
    Our facility has 3 splatter paint rooms which can each accommodate 4 participants at a time. Though 4 adults might be a little tight. 2 of our room can be combined and we do our best to reserve that space for groups. To schedule groups 4+ please call, text or email us and we will be more than happy to help schedule your session.
  • Will the paint stain?
    We use water based washable acrylic paint to minimize risk of stains but any paint may stain surfaces it comes in contact with. Often most of the paint does come out on its own with some washing, but we never want you to ruin your favorite shirt so we offer aprons/raincoats etc. for protection.
  • Do I have to splatter the paint?
    Absolutely not! Feel free to use your time and space to create whatever you want! You can do some acrylic pouring, do some spin art on our canvas spinner or even start that project you've always wanted to try. We just wanted to make a space to create! Also pendulum paintings to come!
  • What if I want more canvases or paint?
    You’re in luck! Extra canvases range from $5 to $30. Need more colors for your masterpiece? You can purchase extra paint in store!
  • Is this a guided activity?
    Nope! This is all about free expression. But our staff is around if you need some tips or guidance. We are planning on offering some classes in the future!
  • Is it safe?
    Splatter paint participants are provided with an optional apron or hooded rain coat, poncho (one size fits most and child sizes available)., hair covers, and gloves.. We do require everyone to wear shoe covers and eye protection but the rest is up to you and how messy you want to get! We use water based washable acrylic paint to minimize risk of stains but any paint may stain surfaces it comes in contact with.
  • What is splatter painting?
    It’s a chance to get crazy and creative! Think Jackson Pollock.. It is a room specifically designed for throwing paint everywhere! Walls, ceilings, your canvas, your friends, etc.. Participants can paint traditionally with a brush or make a mess by throwing paint, pouring paint, spinning or using their hands to create a unique work of art that they get to take home that day! No skill needed.
  • How do I take my paintings home?
    We have convenient to-go boxes for our 8x10, 9x12 and 16x20 canvases included some packages or when buying extra canvases. Larger canvases may be kept at our facility for 1 week then need to be picked up or they will get reused after hours.
  • Do you take donations?
    Absolutely! You can bring donations with you during your visit. We are hoping to start free curbside pick-ups soon.
  • Are there any restrictions on the size of donations?
    Yes, we prefer items that are small to medium-sized, as they are easier to transport and manage in a rage room. Please avoid donating large items like furniture (desks, dining tables, etc) or oversized appliances.
  • What sort of things do you accept for donations?
    We are always looking for things to smash! We take; Any glass items Any ceramic items Household items like mirrors, lamps, picture frames Records, CD’s, tapes, VHS Flat Screen TV's, PC Monitors, TV Remotes Computer Towers, Keyboards, Speakers, Printers, Laptops Stereos DVD Players, Blu-ray Players, VCR Video Game Consoles, Remote Controls Cell Phones, Tablets Alarm Clocks *Items need to be clean, no liquids or food. Feel free to reach out if you are unsure if an item is acceptable. However not all items are accepted. We do not allow items that contain hazardous materials, such as batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, light bulbs, smoke alarms, pressurized items (compressors or aerosol cans) box/CRT TVs/ monitors, microwaves, thermometers, and power tools. These items can cause environmental issues like explosions and fires if not handled properly. We do not accept large appliances (washer, fridges, etc) or furniture (beds, couches, etc).
  • What happens to the items after they are donated?
    All items donated to our center are repurposed for use in our rage rooms. Once they’ve served their purpose, any remaining materials are disposed of properly. If we receive items that aren't suitable for our rage room, we will either recycle them, donate them to other organizations that can use them, or dispose of them responsibly.
  • What if I am unsure if an item is acceptable?
    If you’re uncertain about whether an item is suitable for donation, please reach out to us. You can call, text or email us and we’ll be happy to help you determine if your item fits our criteria.
